Experience
Mr. Rubin is a trial and appellate lawyer who graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where his academic focus was litigation, trial practice, appellate practice, and alternative dispute resolution. While in law school he was senior editor of the Environmental Law Journal, and also worked for the Consumer Protection Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office. Since returning to the Western New York area, Mr. Rubin’s practice has primarily involved all aspects of civil tort litigation, where he has tried over 35 cases and handled numerous appeals. He graduated from the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy, and has become active in both coaching and judging moot court competitions.
Mr. Rubin went to college at Allegheny College where he was a political science major and double-minor in English in fiction writing. He was on the Dean's list from 1995-1999 and was awarded the distinction of Scholar Athlete from 1995-1999. Mr. Rubin played intercollegiate baseball during his four years of college for a top 20 NCAA ranked Division III team, saw his way to the College World Series in 1996, 1997, and 1999, was selected to the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Conference Team and College's Baseball's Team America in 1997, and was designated as a Division III "Pitcher to Watch" in 1999.
