Rupp Baase will be an event sponsor for Buffalo’s first-ever “Undy 5000” on April 28, 2012 in Delaware Park. The Undy 5000 is a 5K run/walk organized by the Colon Cancer Alliance to help raise awareness for colorectal cancer and the need for early screening. Participants usually don colorful boxers or other undergarments on the outside of their normal running attire to demonstrate their support for the event and to symbolize the fight against colorectal cancer. The event has been staged before in other cities but this is its first year in Buffalo. The organizers would like to make it an annual event here, and we are proud to be a supporter in its inaugural year.
